karolinalaskowska:

Day 19 of #oldschooloctober - Spirella corsolette with fabulously pointy cups and some truly delightful details - Schiffli embroidery, patterned binding, floral brocade fabric. Lace up back with side hooks and eyes to get in and out. Shoulder straps have button adjusters as well as small pieces of elastic. A few pieces of steel boning but it’s the heavy duty fabrics that give the serious control!

Lock me in your arms forever
That’s the place I want to be
So anyone can see
That I belong to you
And you belong to me

Marilyn? Marilyn wasn’t put on. That’s why she was so good. Her femininity was real, and there are very few who are really women on screen—I like to think I was. But I never met Marilyn, so I don’t really know…Sure, they gave it to her, just like they gave it to me, honey, just because she posed in the nude! What is that?! Like all those American church magazines yellin’ at me because I married a Moslem! Sometimes I wonder why I ever came back.

Happy Birthday Rita Hayworth ♡ (October 17, 1918 ~ May 14, 1987)
